It is with great sorrow that I write this post.
I was completely prepared to share the rest of the house tour with you tonight (in fact, I have the draft saved), but after talking with my mom I have decided not to.
You see, up until tonight I had not even considered this house to be anything but ours. I have fully committed to it, dreamed about it, and fell head over heels in love. But this house is not ours. Not until we sign those papers on a yet to be determined date. And until it is ours, it is not my right to post someone else’s home on the interwebs. Sigh.
This picture from my first birthday describes how I feel right now perfectly:

I had my pointy party hat on and was ready to celebrate… until chocolate cake on my fingers and an elastic strap digging into my chin had to ruin all the fun (or in this case, the long and drawn out USDA loan approval process).
Until next time,
Alyssa
Haha, love the photo. Sorry you’re disappointed. That’s definitely frustrating! But you’re probably right not to post the pictures yet. I’m excited to see what you’ll do with the place!!
Thanks, Meggie. Hoping we’ll be settled by Easter so you can see it while you are home!
Wah! Don’t worry, you can make it! This long loan approval will just make settlement day even more AWESOME. & then you should channel your first bday & bust out the cake & party hats & celebrate!!
awww…so sad! (good thing you were a cute baby)
Love the picture — you were not a happy girl at that moment! Hang on, it will happen soon and I can’t wait to see what you’ll do with your new home.
Congrats on the new home!! As frustrating as I can imagine it is to wait, it’s still super exciting!!! Good luck with all the settlement stuff, I really hope it gets sorted out soon
