Hi, and welcome to This Classic Home! I’m Alyssa. I’m a twenty-something aspiring home renovator, DIY-er, and amateur designer. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in home design and beautifully crafted spaces. I believe this interest was cultivated by my mother and grandmother during my formative years, as I soaked in the sights of Home-A-Rama and the Central PA Parade of Homes from the comforts of my stroller.
I’ve just purchased my first home (a 1963 classic brick ranch) with my (soon-to-be) husband and I am beyond thrilled to begin to delve into the world of DIY, renovations, paint, and design (I might even try my hand at sewing a thing or two). I love a good “before-and-after” (which is probably why infomercials for cleaning and organizational products have always captured my attention) and have a penchant for clean lines, simple arrangements, and classic design.
